Attorney Biography
Don Ward, born in Peoria, Illinois, in 1928, relocated to eastern Indiana with his family during his formative years. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from The University of Notre Dame in 1954, following his undergraduate studies at Hanover College, completed in 1951.
Admitted to the Bar in 1954, Don’s legal practice has long been guided by a client-centered philosophy.
“Clients expect you to be technically proficient in the practice of law and to communicate effectively with them. If you treat clients the way you want to be treated by any professional, they’ll recommend you to friends and family.”
This approach has led to numerous referrals over the years, allowing Don to cultivate a network of client-friends.
In 1975, he served as Vice-President of the Indianapolis Bar Association. From 1978 to 1979, he was President of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and later acted as Governor for The Association of Trial Lawyers of America from 1979 to 1982 and again in 1997. He also served on the Indiana Judicial Nominating Commission and Indiana Judicial Qualification Commission during the periods 1978-1984, 1993-1995, and 2001.
