Attorney Biography
Jason M. Hatfield is celebrated as a Super Lawyer, a distinction reserved for a mere five percent of legal professionals, acknowledging his exceptional achievements and peer recognition. Additionally, he has been lauded as one of the Best Lawyers in America and holds the prestigious AV – preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell.
Jason relocated to Rogers, Arkansas, during his junior high years and began working at the age of 14. His early jobs included running a paper route, working in fast food, stocking shelves for retailers, and loading trucks in warehouses. As he advanced, Jason worked on construction sites and held various positions in a poultry plant, gaining firsthand insight into the injustices faced by hardworking Arkansans. This motivated him to dedicate a significant portion of his practice to representing injured workers before the Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology with a pre-medicine focus from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1991. He followed this with a Master of Science degree in Food Science in 1994, completing a Master’s Thesis on Minimizing Color Degradation in Blush Wines, which was published in the Journal of Food Quality. In 1997, he graduated from the University of Arkansas School of Law.
Since then, Jason has represented northwest Arkansas residents in hundreds of depositions and bench trials, successfully trying numerous cases before juries in Arkansas Circuit Courts and Federal Courts. He has also achieved reversals of trial court rulings at the Arkansas Supreme Court and the Arkansas Court of Appeals. Notably, in 2009, Jason completed a three-week jury trial addressing the improper use of carcinogens, with his closing argument being quoted by New York Times bestselling author David Kirby in “Animal Factory.”
Jason is passionate about advocating for justice and fairness for Arkansans injured through no fault of their own. He is fearless in litigating challenging injury cases and shaping legal precedents. Moreover, Jason has dedicated extensive time to educating legislators on the detrimental impact of proposed workers’ compensation bills on injured workers and has testified multiple times before legislative committees to maintain a fair playing field.
