Attorney Biography
Stephen Leshner has been an esteemed attorney in Arizona since 1976. As a pioneer, he was among the first group of lawyers in the state to be certified as a specialist in Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation in 1991. His accolades include being a Past President of the Arizona Trial Lawyers Association, a member of “Best Lawyers in America,” an Arizona “Super Lawyer,” an Associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates, and a Life Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Steve co-authored the Negligence chapter in the Arizona Tort Law Handbook, published by the State Bar of Arizona in 2012, and is a frequent speaker at seminars on various personal injury topics for both national and local organizations. His practice is focused on plaintiff’s accident, personal injury, medical malpractice, and products liability cases. Throughout his career, Steve has represented thousands of Arizonans affected by the reckless, careless, and negligent actions of others, securing millions of dollars from major corporations, insurance companies, the healthcare industry, and government entities.
In the largest settlement in Arizona’s history, Steve was one of two attorneys chosen by the State of Arizona as outside counsel for the Master Settlement Agreement, resulting in a $3 billion settlement with leading U.S. tobacco companies. More recently, Steve was one of ten attorneys nationwide appointed to oversee the consolidated litigation in federal court as part of the Plaintiffs Steering Committee (PSC) in the Zicam Products Liability Litigation and was elected Lead Counsel for the concurrent Zicam Arizona state court litigation.
