These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of NearLawyers.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by an individual based in Türkiye (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using the Site you agree to these Terms.

1. What Near Lawyers is

Near Lawyers is an online directory that helps people find lawyers in the United States by legal issue and location. We are not a law firm, we do not provide legal advice, and we are not a lawyer referral service. Using the Site or contacting a lawyer through the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship with us or with any lawyer. We do not recommend or endorse any lawyer, and we do not receive any part of the fees you pay to a lawyer.

2. Information on the Site

Lawyer profiles are created by lawyers themselves or compiled from publicly available sources. We try to keep profiles accurate but we do not guarantee that any profile is complete, current or correct. Always verify a lawyer’s license and standing with the relevant state bar before hiring them.

Lawyers listed on the Site: if your profile appears on the Site and you want it corrected, claimed or removed, email help@nearlawyers.com. We process these requests within 7 days.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and you must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Listings by lawyers and law firms

If you create or manage a listing, you confirm that you are authorized to practice law in the jurisdictions you list (or are authorized to act for the firm), that the information you provide is true and not misleading, and that your listing complies with the attorney advertising rules that apply to you. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display your listing content on the Site. We may edit, reject or remove any listing at our discretion.

5. Paid plans

• Paid plans (such as Featured and Premium) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in US dollars and renew automatically until cancelled.
• Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
• You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep your paid features until then.
• Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.
• We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from your next renewal after the notice period.
• A paid plan increases the visibility of a listing. It does not guarantee any number of views, contacts or clients.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the Site to post false, misleading, defamatory or unlawful content; to impersonate any person; to send spam; to scrape or copy the Site in bulk; or to interfere with the Site’s security or operation.

7. Intellectual property

The Site’s design, software and original content belong to us. Listing content belongs to the lawyer or firm that provided it. If you believe content on the Site infringes your rights, email help@nearlawyers.com with the details and we will review it promptly.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on information on the Site, including the choice of a lawyer. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or close accounts and remove listings that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of your place of residence.

11. Changes and contact
